Here is his HostPapa Web Hosting review:
We had an account with them and wanted to move to another company. Their hosting was fairly good but my site got too big and needed to be moved to another web host. This was not the fault of HostPapa, however, getting control of our domain, was very difficult.
They delayed it by weeks what should have taken hours because they managed the domain name and would not change the Name Servers until we jumped through all their hoops. Even though we had a year left on our hosting contract which they would not refund, they still charged us an additional $26 to leave. On top of that, they kept sending us emails with only partial information such as 1. Who is making this request, then another email... 2. Are you sure you want to leave, 3. Here are your Options for (one of them being to not leave), 4. If you want to leave there is a charge of $26 and we need more contact information from the person who owns the account to verify accurate cancellation. WOW what bunch of crap. The domain name and original email address is all most companies want but not these guys.
If you decide to host with them, they were decent for us, please register your domain using godaddy or moniker and then set your own namesevers. This way, you won't have to go through these hoops if you need to leave.
